Official Launch of Series of Activities of Africa Community Based Natural Resource Management

Asia Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation (APECF) signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Lusaka, capital of Zambia, on the 15th of November , on cooperation in Africa Community Based Natural Resource Management (ACBNRM) activities. The program was jointly by Save Rural Africa Foundation (SARAF) and World Wild Fund for Nature (WWF).

The ACBNRM program is an integral part of Southern Africa Based Natural Resource Management. As a community based natural resource management, SARAF wields considerable influence in Zambia and the whole of Africa and is composed of hundreds of royal family members and local chiefs. WWF, as a U.N. organization, has been engaged in the protection and development of the environment. APECF is an NGO with growing influence in the Asia Pacific region and has been engaged in improving the living conditions of humanity. These three organizations coming together will play an important role in the protection of biological diversity in Africa. Although this program is still in the start-up stage, it has attracted the attention of many countries, NGOs and enterprises, such as CM, a world famous mining industry company, which showed great interest in this program.
