Scientific and creative art has become wave of next era!
”SiHui Sharing” activity held successfully in Qianhai

(From chinareport.com, Correspondent Li Chuanjun) With the advent of a new round of global technological and industrial changes, the combination of technology and art has become the next wave leading the global urban renewal and development. On November 4, the “SiHui Sharing” activity sponsored by Qianhai Institute for Innovative Research in Shenzhen and undertaken by SiHui Tech (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SiHui) was successfully held in Qianhai. Steve Shyh-Ching Chen, Member of US National Academy of Engineering and Member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, Xiao Wunan, Executive Vice Chairman of Asia Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation, Chen Peng, Secretary General of Qianhai Institute for Innovative Research, and other leaders and guests attended the event, focused on Qianhai technology to promote the development of culture and art, and carried out discussions in the fields of thought and philosophy.

At the sharing meeting, Chen Peng, Secretary General of Qianhai Institute for Innovative Research, the sponsor of this event, delivered an opening speech for this event. He said that on September 6, the Plan for Comprehensively Deepening the Reform and Opening-up of the Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone (hereinafter referred to as Qianhai Plan) was officially issued, which puts forward various requirements and plans for talents and think tanks in Qianhai. It is hoped that Qianhai Institute for Innovative Research and relevant think tanks in Qianhai will play a more important role in deepening reform in the fields of sci-tech innovation, human development and finance by taking advantage of the geographical advantages of being located in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. It is understood that the Qianhai Plan specifically points out the need to develop new think tanks with Chinese characteristics and build research bases in Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao. We will steadily and orderly expand the opening up of the cultural field to the outside world, build a platform for cultural exchanges and mutual learning for the openness and common prosperity of multiple cultures, and build a cultural soft power base.

Subsequently, Academician Steve Shyh-Ching Chen, as the world’s top expert in the integration of sci-tech and art, gave a brief keynote speech on cutting-edge sci-tech, industrial development, Qianhai innovation and other topics. Academician Chen shared his growth experience, academic development and research direction. He talked about his growth experience and said that his ancestral home was in Fujian, he grew up in Taiwan, and then went to the United States to study. Since 2004, he went to Shenzhen and successively carried out research in the fields of the third generation super chip, biological big data system, medical consortium and so on, and made outstanding achievements.

Academician Steve Shyh-Ching Chen also put forward his own view on the artistic innovation promoted by sci-tech. China has moving stories from big cities to small villages. The key to the international communication and exchange of China’s 5000-year story from multiple levels, angles and channels is to tell the story of the times from a global perspective through emerging technologies, continuously dress up China’s image on the world stage and further promote public diplomacy.

At the sharing meeting, Xiao Wunan, Executive Vice Chairman of the Asia Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation, first spoke highly of Qianhai’s sci-tech innovation. He said that Qianhai administration bureau has systematically provided various competitions and favorable policies to stimulate the innovative vitality of Qianhai enterprises in encouraging the development of young star-ups.

Looking towards the future, Xiao Wunan believed that sci-tech innovation should make up for two weaknesses. One short board is the philosophical foundation. Through the thinking and exploration of philosophy and human destiny, we should enrich and expand sci-tech innovation with the core of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The other short board is the shortage of talents. We should have a large number of strategic sci-tech talents, first-class sci-tech leading talents and innovation teams in key core technology fields.

Executive Vice Chairman Xiao Wunan expresses his views at “Sihui Sharing” activity.

The reporter learned from the sharing meeting that Qianhai “Immersive Musemu” promoted by SiHui is under preparation. Through the integration of sci-tech and art, it presents from life science to the cognition of the whole world, so as to promote Shenzhen-Hong Kong youth cooperation and the process of internationalization, and promote “Chinese culture” to go global in digital form.

“The main purpose of holding such activities is to give full play to the global resource advantages of the Asia Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation, the Federation of World Museums and SiHui Tech, and organize some sharing activities on forward-looking topics on a regular or irregular basis. We hope to contribute to the sci-tech innovation and international cooperation in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.” Gen Fen, Chairman of SiHui, said.

It is understood that SiHui, as the organizer of this sharing meeting, has always been positioned on the working platform of the Asia Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation and the Federation of World Museums in Shenzhen, mainly promoting international exchanges and cooperation in the fields of science, technology, art and finance in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
