They held a discussion on the course of past decade and future development direction of Qianhai, and then they visited Qianhai Exhibition Hall, exhibition of achievements in the past 40 years of reform and opening up in Qianhai and Qianhai Stone Park. Xie Huihui, Deputy Director of Qianhai Administration Bureau, and other personnel accompanied the delegation and introduce the situation.

Qianhai is the strategic platform for the national reform and development in the new era, which was established by Xi Jinping, General Secretary of the CPC. Qianhai firmly adheres to the general orientation of “rely on Hong Kong, serving the mainland and facing the world”, becoming a new starting point for reform and opening up and creating new experience for special economic zone, and a new platform for Guangdong-Hong Kong cooperation and Shenzhen-Hong Kong cooperation. Everyone agreed that as the core engine of the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, Qianhai links global innovation elements and promotes scientific and technological innovation, which will further promote the construction of innovative development demonstration cities to a new height and enter a new realm.

Zhou Jing, representative of Capricorn Partners in China, was full of confidence in the future development of Qianhai. At the same time, she also introduced that Flemish Institute for Technological Research (VITO) is one of the largest research & technology organizations (RTO) in Europe and one of the largest government R&D institutions in Belgium. Its research results are widely used in the fields of new materials, bioengineering and environmental protection. It has a high-quality scientific and technological R & D team composed of nearly 1000 experts in different fields.

On the afternoon of April 9, 2021, Zhang Haiou, a professor of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, academic leader in the field of new materials in China and internationally renowned scholar, the Asia Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation and SiHui Tech (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony at Shenzhen Qianhai Shimao Tower. They reached a consensus on the settlement of the National Engineering Center for Composite Additive Manufacturing in Qianhai.

Professor Zhang Haiou pioneers the manufacturing method, process and equipment of micro casting, forging and milling of metal forgings with simultaneous compound casting & forging and integrated milling at the same station. He creates an ultra short process and efficient green manufacturing mode for high-end forgings with high strength, toughness and fatigue life in many fields and various alloys. The metal 3D printing of “integration of casting, forging and milling” created by him is only mastered by China in the world. If it can be successfully settled in Qianhai, Zhang Haiou says that he will carry out technical iteration and maintain a 20-year technical leadership in the world in this field. This technology will become a “sharp sword” for Chinese science and technology to participant in international competition.

At the last stop of this investigation, Xiao Wunan, Executive Vice Chairman of APECF, led a team to visit the construction site of “No. 5 building of Qianhai Hong Kong-Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Town”. Relevant people focused on how to use the integration of multi-dimensional creative design and the latest technology to create an immersive museum integrating thought, science, art and education, so as to extend infinite vitality for the internal driving force of innovation. It will also create a new exemplary model for science and technology in the construction of “dual-zone” in Shenzhen and jointly draw a new blueprint for the development of Qianhai.
