Xiao Wunan, Executive Chairman of Federation of World Museums: Promoting integration

of sci-tech and art to create a new pattern of sci-tech development in Shenzhen


(Shenzhen news from www.cctv-cmpany.com on December 3) Recently, Xiao Wunan, Executive Chairman of the Federation of World Museums, Ge Fen, Co-Founder of XHub Space, Xue Xiaolu, General Manager of Shanghai Fore Sight Venture Capital Co., Ltd., John Munro, CEO of Immersive, Huang Shiquan, President of Asia Pacific for VTP Global, visited Shenzhen Qianhai Administration Bureau and relevant institutions to explore how to create a new pattern of sci-tech development through the integration of sci-tech and art, and take the lead in promoting the intelligent transformation of indoor venues such as art museum as a demonstration.

Xiao Wunan and his party visited “Achievements Exhibition of the 40th Anniversary of Guangdong’s Reform and Opening” held by Shenzhen Museum of Contemporary Art and Urban Planning, and an exhibition celebrating the 40th anniversary of the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone (SEZ) at the Qianhai International Convention Center. They had a full understanding of the development history of Guangdong, Shenzhen and Qianhai, and were full of confidence in the integration and practical application of Shenzhen’s science and technology industry.


Then, the delegation came to the construction site of “Qinahai Hong Kong and Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Town”, accompanied by Xu Wenyun, General Manager of Qianhai INNO-TECH Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. During the discussion in the meeting, representatives of Qianhai INNO-TECH Investment Holdings Co., Ltd. and John Munro briefly introduced the project of “Qinahai Hong Kong and Macao Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Town” and the project of “ integration of technology and art” respectively. They jointly discussed how indoor venues such as art museums and museums, with the blessing of modern science and technology, can make people feel fascinating and immersive, and play the triple roles of entertainment, education and even encouragement. This visit was a further work arrangement of the project of Qianhai World Museum Group promoted by all parties recently.

Dozens of museums and famous collectors around the world have expressed their desire to participate, such as Guggenheim Museum, Museum of Modern Art (MoMA), Rockefeller family, Rothschild family and Thomas Lee.

In addition, during the China International Import Expo, the 5th “Asia Art & Finance Forum” held a signing ceremony for strategic cooperation between the Federation of World Museums and the Asia Institute of Art & Finance on November 18 to jointly build the "Hongqiao cultural relics and art and financial service innovation community" in Shanghai and the "Qianhai World Museum group" in Shenzhen, With the help of culture, the Yangtze River Delta and the Pearl River Delta will develop in coordination.
