Sino-British youth science and technology innovation project signed in Beijing
(From chinareports.org.cn, Correspondent: Li Chuanjun) On March 19, 2019, the signing ceremony of the Sino-British youth science and technology innovation project was held at the international conference hall of China International Culture Exchange Center. Mr. Xu Honghai, Secretary-General of the China International Culture Exchange Center, Mr. Gareth Bullock, Chairman of the British International Education Association (BIEA), and Mr. Xiao Wunan, Executive Vice Chairman of Aisa Pacific Exchange & Cooperation Foundation, signed cooperation agreements on behalf of their respective institutions.

In 2015, China and the UK issued the Joint Declaration on Building a Global Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for the 21st Century, which jointly ushered in a “golden age” of lasting, open and win-win Sino-UK relations. This means that Sino-UK relations have reached a new level and have generated broad prospects for exchanges and cooperation in many fields, especially in culture and education.
In the face of globalization, educational resources are facing worldwide reorganization. Britain’s profound educational resources need to open up new markets. On the other hand, China vigorously advocates quality education and pays more attention to the cultivation of talented individual’s international vision, leadership and innovation ability. Among them, the STEM (scientific and technological innovation) educational projects, will become an important trend in China’s and world’s youth talents development program. The organizers of this event are ready to give full play to their respective advantages and establish comprehensive strategic cooperation to promote Sino-British youth science and technology innovation projects.
