Nepal's Special Envoy meets APECF leader

At the invitation of the Chinese government, Nepal’s Deputy Prime Minister and Finance Minister Krishna Bahadur Mahara, who is also special envoy of newly-appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, visited Beijing on August 17. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang met Mr. Mahara at Zhongnanhai, followed by a meeting with Mr. Xiao Wunan, Executive Vice Chairman of APECF, at the St. Regis in the afternoon. Mr. Mahara and Mr Xiao have been friends for nearly 20 years. Mr. Xiao Wunan has supported APECF’s work in Nepal. During the talks, Mr. Xiao Wunan asked Mr. Mahara to extend his congratulations to Nepal’s newly-appointed Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal and pledged continued attention to Nepal’s economic, cultural and social development. On behalf of Nepal’s Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal, Mr. Mahara conveyed greetings and invited APECF leaders to visit Nepal at an appropriate time. Mr. Du Hanbing, Deputy General Manager of China Shipbuilding & Offshore International Co., Ltd., Mr. Liao Changqing, President of Beijing Miaoshi Dairy Co., Ltd., and others attended the meeting.
