Head of state o San Marino meets APECF delegation and
presents national emblem to Mr. Xiao Wunan

October 24 (www.ouliannews.com) – On the afternoon of October 22, APECF Executive Chairman Xiao Wunan visited San Marino at the invitation of Mr. Gian Franco Terenzi, Head of State of San Marino. His Excellency Mr. Terenzi hosted a banquet that evening to welcome APECF Executive Chairman Xiao Wunan and his delegation.


San Marino is one of the smallest country in the world and is located in Italy. San Marino is one of the first European countries to establish diplomatic relations with China after the founding of New China. Mr. Terenzi is an old friend of the Chinese people, He was received by successive Chinese leaders such as Li Xiannian, Jiang Zeming, Hu Jintao and Xi Jinping. He has devoted his entire life to promoting friendly relations between China and the European Union. He is concurrently Chairman of the San Marino – China Friendship Association.


On the morning of October 23, Mr. Terenzi, Head of State of San Marino,met with Mr. Xiao Wunan, Executive Chairman of APECF. They held a working meeting at the headquarters of the World Union of Small and Medium Enterprises, a UN NGO in San Marino. They exchanged ideas on topics including friendly relations between China and the European Union, economic, trade and cultural exchanges and development of small and medium enterprises. They reached many constructive consensus for promoting exchanges and cooperation between China and European Union enterprises.


Mr. Terenzi praised Mr. Xiao Wunan's positive contribution to promoting global multilateral cooperation and regional economic development. Mr. Terenzi presented APECF with the flag of San Marino and commemorative stamps marking the friendly relations between San Marino and China. He personally presented the San Marino Golden National Emblem brooch to Mr. Xiao Wunan in recognition of his contributions.
