The welcoming lunch for Mr. Bertie Ahern, former Prime Minister of Ireland and former head of European Union, was held by the Asia Pacific Exchange and Cooperation Foundation at St. Regis Hotel in Beijing on October 18, 2013. Mr. Wei Jianguo, Vice Chairman of the China Center for International Economic Exchanges, Mr. Libor Secka, Ambassador of Czech Republic to China, Mr. David Ellis, Political Counsellor of the British Embassy in Beijing and Chinese entrepreneurs, academics and dignitaries from the cultural sector as well as European diplomats were invited. The guests discussed ways to improve China's relations with the European Union , achieving fruitful results.
