APECF delegation visited Britain and the United States upon invitation

 

APECF delegation led by Mr. Xiao Wunan, the Executive Vice Chairman, visited Britain and the United States upon invitations of various organizations from 2nd to 17th, Feb., 2013.

 

 

In Britain, APECF delegation had a wide exchange with the British Royal family, the House of Lords of British Parliament, the business circles, and the academic institutions, and obtained fruitful achievements. On Feb. 4th, Mr. Xiao had a cordial talk with Mr. Cameron, the Prime Minister of the UK, on the issue of promotion of the Sino-UK relationship and reached a high degree consensus at the welcoming dinner hosted by the Troy; At the House of Lords, Mr. Xiao had a deeply communication with Lord Wei Mingen, the APPG East Asia Business Chairman; On Feb. 5th, Mr. Xiao had a pleasant talk with Britain’s Crown Prince Charles at a banquet hosted by the Buckingham Palace; After that, the delegation also visited Cambridge Program for Sustainability Leadership and the Centre for Sustainability of the Prince of Wales, discussed about the cooperation between Cambridge University and China in future and reached a consensus in a wide scale.

 

In L.A., the US, on Febr.8th, the delegation had a working session with the Rand Corporation and discussed about bilateral deep cooperation in future; On Febr.10th, the US congressman Brad Sherman presented a US Capitol National Flag with signature certificate as a spring festival gift to the delegation through persons specifically appointed for sending it.

 

In N.Y., the delegation participated in a Chinese New Year banquet hosted at the official mansion of New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg upon invitation; after that, the delegation also attended in the dinner and show at Lincoln Center and celebrated the Spring Festival with all walks of life, and then visited Mr. Thomas Lee, the President of Lee Equity Partners LLC.

 

During the stay in the US, the delegation had several meetings with Mr. Jack Rosen and Mr. Leon Charney, the Co-Chairmen of APECF, also arranged the interview with Mr. Leon Charney by Phoenix TV and other media, and the interview with Mr. Xiao by the US World Journal.
