APECF delegation visited Denmark, Sweden, Kenya and France
upon invitation
The APECF delegation led by Mr. Xiao Wunan, the Executive Vice Chairman, and Mr. Bache, the director of NY office visited Denmark, Sweden, Kenya and France from Nov.25th to Dec.6th at the invitation of various organizations.
In Denmark, Mr. Xiao participated in the round desk meeting to discuss how to promote the Sino-Danish cooperation and delivered a speech upon the invitation of Danish-Chinese Business Forum; Meanwhile, Mr. Xiao visited the City Hall of Copenhagen to discuss China-Danish culture exchange with Ms. Pia Allerslev, the Culture Mayor of Copenhagen; At the same time, the delegation made a wide exchange with Danish business and culture organizations, such as the Bestseller Foundation, the Carlsberg Foundation, the Danske Bank, the Danish Church Abroad, and was interviewed by the Berlingske, the biggest political media in Denmark. After that, Denmark's Crown Prince Frederik received warmly the delegation, expressed the congratulations for the visiting results and provided positive suggestions for the improvement of Sino-Danish relationship.
In Sweden, the delegation visited the Social Ministry of Sweden for the cooperation of social welfare between China and Sweden and discussed with Ms. Anna Pettersson, the deputy minister; after that, the delegation visited The Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences for the discussion about new energy exploration; and the delegation also made a good exchange with the Swedish Institute, the biggest think tank in Sweden for scholar and geopolitics; meanwhile, the delegation visited Bonnier, the No.1 media organization, having a pleasant meeting with Mr. Jonas, the Chairman of Board, and then went to TV4 Group, the biggest TV station in Sweden. And the delegation also discussed about oversea investment of Chinese enterprises with KPMG, the Swedish famous financial company in a pleasant atmosphere. After that, the delegation visited the headquarter of Scania, met with its Global CEO and senior officials and make an on-the-spot investigation of its manufacture and sales.
In Kenya, Dr. Joan Clos, the UN Under-Secretary-General and the Executive Director of UN-HABITAT received the delegation and exchanged positively for the cooperation between UN-HABITAT and APECF in the future. And both sides also held a high level meeting about the Lumbini Project in Nepal and UN-HABITAT’s work in China and have reached agreement and a high degree of consensus.
In France, the delegation held work meet with Mr. Edmond Alphandery, founder & chairman of Euro50 Group, former Minister of French Finance Ministry and reached a highly degree consensus; the delegation also exchanged views and made a cooperation plan in the future with Mr. Francis Idrac, the chairman of Caisse Nationale de Solidarite Pour Autonomie; after that, the delegation visited the Institut de France, met with Mr. Jacques Rougerie, the member of the Institut de France and famous water construction designer, and held activities for developing friendship.
