APECF Delegation visited Malaysia, Nepal and Thailand
upon invitation

Mr. Xiao Wunan, the Executive Vice Chairman of Asia Pacific Exchange and Cooperation Foundation (APECF) led a delegation to visit Malaysia, Nepal and Thailand from November 4-10, 2012. upon invitation. Following up on various invitations, the delegation had extensive and fruitful discussions with a range of concerned parties issues including religious and cultural exchanges, the Lumbini Recovery Plan, and China Qianhai Financial Center, among others.

 

During the visit in Malaysia, the delegation had in-depth discussions with the Sakyamuni Buddha Foundation (SBF) and International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) on Buddhist and cultural exchanges. This also included the Lumbini Recovery Plan, and a consensus was reached on the issues mentioned above.

 

During their stay in Nepal, APECF and Lumbini Development National Directive Committee of Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Jointly Promoting Development of Lumbini Buddhist & Cultural Conservation Zone and Nepali-Chinese Buddhist & Cultural Exchanges on November 7 at the Soaltee Crown Plaza in Kathmandu.

 

In Thailand the delegation engaged in a full exchange of ideas concerning the China Qianhai Financial Center with Sino-Thai Friendship Association (STFA) and signed a Memorandum of Understanding for Cooperation to jointly initiate and push forward the project of “Asia Pacific Financial Center”.
