Tibetan Buddhism Activities Held in Hsinchu, Taiwan
On September 3, 2011, the opening ceremony of the “Deng Ba Fa Wang Thang-ga and Tibetan Culture Heritage Exhibition” and the “Hsinchu Asia-Pacific Religion International Park” was held in the Cultural Center of the Hsinchu County Government.
It was hosted by the Hsinchu Asia-Pacific Religion International Cultural Foundation and the Hsinchu County Government, and co-sponsored by the APECF. Deng Ba Fa Wang, former Vice Chairman of Legislature Mr. Zhong Rongji, Executive Vice President of APECF Mr. Xiao Wunan, and Hsinchu County Head Qiu Jingchun, etc., attended the ceremony and delivered speeches respectively on religious and cultural communication.
Mr. Xiao Wunan noted that Tibetan Buddhism has completely preserved the ritual procedures of original Buddhism, with a complete documentation system. He believes that Taiwan has a profound religious culture, and hopes that the “Hsinchu Asia-Pacific Religion International Park” would take on the heavy task of spreading Chinese culture and promoting Eastern civilization to the world.
