The APECF Delegation visits Nepal upon invitation
From March 25 to March 30, 2011, Executive Vice President of APECF Mr. Xiao Wunan led a delegation of 20 people to visit Nepal upon the invitation of Nepali government. The delegation studied Nepali culture, tourism and other fields, and achieved fruitful results.
In Kathmandu, former Nepali Prime Minister and Co-chairman of APEC Prachanda received the delegation and hosted a reception banquet; Vice Prime Minister and Finance Minister Bharat Mohan Adhikari received the delegation at the Prime Minister’s Office; Nepal Vice Prime Minister and Minister of Home Affairs, Krishna Bahadur Mahara, listened to the delegation’s report on the development plan of Lumbini; Minister of Defense Bishnu Prasad Paudel received the delegation in the Department of Defense, and expressed his full support for the development plan of Lumbini.
Chinese Ambassador to Nepal Mr. Qiu Guohong received the delegation at the ambassador’s residence and gave a detailed report on the overall introduction of Nepal, followed by a banquet.
Upon the invitation of Lumbini Government, the delegation members conducted a comprehensive study on Lumbini’s former development plan, natural ecological environment and the existing facilities, and paid a visit to the temples of different countries.
