Industry-Education Integration Consortium for Digital & Intelligent Inheritance and Communication of Intangible Cultural Heritage Launched in Beijing
(From app.xinhuanet.com) From November 15 to 16, the Founding Conference of the Industry-Education Integration Consortium for Digital & Intelligent Inheritance and Communication of Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) and the Seminar on Industry-Education Integration for ICH Global Promotion were held at the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE).
Guided by the China Intangible Cultural Heritage Safeguarding Association and the Informatization Teaching Guidance Committee for Vocational Colleges under the Ministry of Education, the consortium was initiated by Hangzhou Zhu Bingren Copper Art Co., Ltd., UIBE, and Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics, with support from Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry. It currently boasts over 100 member institutions.

At the founding ceremony, Zhou Chenmeng, Director of UIBE's Archives, University History Museum, and UIBE Museum, delivered an address on behalf of the organizer. Wang Junming, Director of the Informatization Teaching Guidance Committee for Vocational Colleges under the Ministry of Education, Zhu Hongliang, Dean of the School of Cultural and Creative Art at Zhejiang Technical Institute of Economics, Yu Jianwei, President of Hangzhou Zhu Bingren Copper Art Co., Ltd., and Zhang Hong, Vice President of Chengdu Vocational & Technical College of Industry, also delivered speeches respectively.
Wang Hui, Dean of the School of International Education and Social Development at Zhejiang Normal University, shared the experience of developing ICH-related undergraduate programs at the university, emphasizing the need to break down barriers between ICH and vocational education, and promote the commercialization of benchmark projects integrating ICH with digital and intelligent technologies. Li Kejun, Vice President of Hebei Minzu Normal University, elaborated on the "four-fold logic" of dynamic, multi-dimensional inheritance of ICH from the perspective of the Chinese national community. Ma Ming, a professor at City University of Macau, shared the historical experience and future plans for digital protection of ICH in Macau.
Five major projects were launched at the ceremony:
1. ICH Three-Creation Base Project by the National Expert Committee on ICH Cultural and Creative Industries in Universities: Focuses on developing ICH inheritance and communication spaces in universities to build a dynamic ICH inheritance ecosystem.
2. ICH Global Promotion Project by Beijing Huanyu Boke Cultural Communication Co., Ltd.: Addresses challenges in overseas ICH communication and builds the Huaxuntong Global Chinese Promotion Matrix.
3. ICH North America Project by Beijing Language and Culture University Press: Leverages industry advantages to expand overseas dissemination and sales of Chinese cultural products.
4. ICH International Cross-Border E-Commerce Project by Beijing Tang Chinese Education Technology Co., Ltd.: Provides solutions for industry-education cooperative operation services in cross-border ICH scenarios.
5. Digital & Intelligent ICH Teaching and Research Project by Beijing Shouli Education Technology Co., Ltd.: Explores building a new ecosystem for international Chinese language education empowered by AI.
An academic salon themed "ICH Brand Building and Industrial Upgrading" was held during the seminar. Chen Ke, Director of the Marketing Department at UIBE Business School, Yu Jianwei, President of Hangzhou Zhu Bingren Copper Art Co., Ltd., Chen Miao, General Manager of Guangdong Yingkui Carving Art Co., Ltd., Zhang Jingwei, Chairman of Zhejiang Weishi Food Industry Development Co., Ltd., and Xiao Wunan, Executive Vice Chairman of APECF, engaged in in-depth discussions and shared insights.

At the closing ceremony, Yang Hong, Director of the ICH Communication Research Center at Communication University of China, Yang Haitao, Vice Dean of the College of Digital Art at Suzhou Art & Design Technology Institute, and Chen Nan, Deputy Director of the Research Department at Taiyuan Normal University, delivered keynote speeches titled “Case Sharing of Digital Technology Empowering ICH Inheritance and Communication”, “Industry-Education Integration Practices for Digital & Intelligent ICH Inheritance”, and “Experience Sharing in Building ICH Industry Colleges” respectively.
The seminar also included four parallel forums, where participating teacher representatives presented academic reports on their teaching practices and research achievements. (Xu Yahui)
